I've never been much of a cook. I don't particularly like it and I'm not particularly good at it either (which probably has to do with the fact that I have very little practice). Tim is a great cook and usually has dinner started before I get home from work, but we have fallen into a pattern of making the same dishes over and over again. While pasta, fish, turkey burgers and burritos are delicious, I've been wanting to try some new recipes and add some variety to our menu. I always see delicious looking recipes while browsing blogs and decided to start with these pretzel bites. Not that I would serve this for dinner, but I don't like putting much effort into cooking, either, so I figured a delicious snack was a good place to start. Up next is probably a dessert. Ok, eventually, maybe, we will try something new for dinner.
Get the recipe here (pretty sure this is my new favorite blog).
Tastes like Auntie Anne's!
I sprinkled a little garlic powder on mine
and had them with cream cheese
Tip: if you aren't going to eat them all right away, save the rest of the dough to bake later. They were much better fresh!
These were super cheap to make and super delicious. We used all purpose flour instead of bread flour. I'm thinking they will make a great snack during football season! Bonus: it was pretty fun making these with Tim.
